I finally made myself watch this talk recently. I thoroughly enjoyed her talk. On twitter Leigh Alexander does tease herself a bit for saying ‘umm’, but I figured it was nerves. It’s hard to talk infront of an audience of your peers about something you actually care about. Everyone seems to have a comfort word they cling onto during talk ( ‘So’, ‘essentially’, ‘you know’, ‘basically’, are mine).
